Cut All Funding To The Arts is the second volume of poetry by Sion Lidster.
It is a 78 page psychoactive account of how far we have come from our natural selves - delving into the evils of Puritanical rule, work culture, religion, gun control, fear mongering and personal freedom.
It's a call from one libertine to all others - let's begin to while ourselves again with the joy, merriment and excess!
We must free ourselves from those manacles through our own wills, and let's make those wills chaotic and free.
Let's delve into our radical self expressions and share them with the world. Make poetry bones again.
More than ever.
It is the first publication on Dream Cult Press.

I haven't read poetry in a few words but was nice to pick up a new book of it. Poetry tends to relative and everyone experiences it differently but for my part I think the overall theme is the iconoclastic times we live in and frustration with the status quo.Product details

Cut All Funding To The Arts edition by Sion Lidster Literature Fiction eBooks Reviews
Lidster begins one poem in this collection with the declaration, "I am dismissal".
I'm not sure that I'd agree, but it's a great path to allow yourself, as a reader, to be led down. Sion Lidster succeeds, in this collection. to at once transcend the poet-ego of self through reduction, while NOT straying into polemics when it comes to the actual art. A product of the vital, creative, underground in Sioux Falls, SD, Sion's work is edgy, but not flashy...cutting, but not cruel. There is hardly a taste of tired, Millennial, irony here, but the work never does take it'self TOO seriously.
This work stands, in every way, equal to poetry being written on the coasts or along the border, right now...Buy the book, and check it our for yourself.
