"Above Reproach" is a very good sequel to "Beyond Instinct". In this book Lynn Ames has brought the well known characters of Kate & Jay, Peter & Lorraine, Justine, Sebastien, Vaughn and a new and psychically gifted Sedona as a love interest for Vaughn. Lynn has united this group into one cohesive unit in a very suspenseful and action packed story! Due to a different and somewhat surprising ending, another book needs to follow soon to, hopefully, settle the issue(s) for us fans out here in book and Kindle land.Kudos to Lynn Ames for another solid series: "The Mission Classified". Keep 'em coming!!

Well thought out and written book. I like the research Lynn Ames does to make sure her books are realistic. I love action/thriller books, and this one holds its own with mainstream books.

Another well written and amazing novel by Ames! I literally cannot put my kindle down when starting any of her books! Gasping, rush of excitement, and keeps my mind turning, are just a few tidbits about this book! Do yourself a favor and get the series today! If you love action packed CIA, higher hierarchy of government, deceitful characters, look no further!!!! Love it, love it, love it!
I love how the author brings in characters from past books. I'm just hoping another book will come out and find Vaughn happy and with someone in the end.
Good... but not Great...
I loved the contemporary return to Kate and Jay. Also, I'm so happy that Peter & Lorraine hooked up (after they met in "The Value of Valor" )
HOWEVER...it would have been nice to have clarified the relationship between Peter & Dr Barbara Jones from "The Cost of Commitment" and "The Value of Valor" (in those books it is implied that Barbara was gay, although it's also indicated that Peter and Barbara cared a great deal about each other.) I wish there had been at least one scene solidifying Peter's relationship w/Lorraine while explaining the absence of Barbara.
Romance.... more sexy funtimes. At least one new love scene between Kate & Jay (I know that like me, they're probably in their early 50's but c'mon... ;-) )
I actually read this this book before the first book of the series...this book i thought was very well written and kept me interested...the characters blended well...and i didnt have to read the first book in the series to know who people were...i am now reading the first book and now i know what the back stories of each main character is...i don't like to give story lines away so that is why i don't mention any specific character... the only reason i did not give 5 stars is because i believe the books are too short...they could be longer...i really hope the future books could be longer..great book!
This is an enjoyable read. For me the first book "Beyond Instinct" had more action in it for the main character Vaughn Elliott. I loved her action and combat skills in it. I was looking for that same intensity in this one but it was not written so. Yes they had a mission and the plot was very well written but there wasn't much physical action in it. I do like now characters from previous books were brought into this plot and they worked well together. All in all it is a good book and will keep you entertained throughout, but if you are looking for a physical fight and combat action it is not so in this one.
